Romblon – On October 17, 2013, 5:00pm, at closing of filing of Certificate of Candidacy the local office of Commission on Elections recorded a total receipt of Five Hundred Sixty (560) COCs. For Punong Barangay Sixty Six (66) vie for the position while Four Hundred Sixty Four (464) for Barangay Kagawads.
It was noted that candidate for Punong Barangay in Barangays Batiano, Gabawan and Malilico are all unopposed. Said candidates are all incumbent Punong Barangay.
On the first day of filing of Certificate of Candidacy for the upcoming October 28, 2013 Barangay Elections many of the aspirant troops early to the local office of the Commission on Elections hoping to be a “Buena Mano” in filing their Certificate of Candidacy.
Comelec record shows that the first receipt of Certificate of Candidacy filed was recorded exactly at 8:00 in the morning.

to the early influx of Odionganons who were interested to be a candidate for
the forthcoming Barangay Elections it
was not avoided the queuing of the filer, who wish to file their Certificate of
Candidacy at the opening day.
At around 10:30am it was reported that the local Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) runs out of the necessary documentary stamps required to be attach to the copies of Certificate of Candidacy.
Filing of Certificate of Candidacy in town of Odiongan has been relatively peaceful, orderly and no untoward incidents was observed.
